ifs ProShare has been the voice of employee share ownership since 1992 when we were established by HM Government, a group of FTSE 100 companies and the London Stock Exchange to promote wider share ownership. Today, we focus solely on helping to promote employee share ownership in the UK and are the voice of employee share plan practitioners and professionals.
We are committed to making ProShare membership valuable to our members by being the voice of employee share plan practitioners and professionals. Our members benefit from and contribute to the development of the employee share plan legal and regulatory framework and enjoy access to valuable training events, workshops and annual conference, as well as monthly newsletters, specialist forums, venue hire and a jobs board and advertising to a large and relevant audience.

Our annual conference, now in its 24th year, is the perfect opportunity for plan issuer companies, plan administrators, advisors and providers to meet at one of the largest events of its kind in the UK. It’s a time and cost-efficient way to; share best practice, discuss new developments, enhance technical knowledge, and network with share plan professionals.
The theme 'British Success on the Global Stage' will be delivered by industry experts through a series of seminars and case studies, the schedule also includes panel discussions with regulators and policymakers, keynote speeches from senior business leaders and academics, plus abundant networking opportunities throughout the day and at the post-conference drinks reception.
This prestigious evening recognises and rewards innovation and excellence within the share plan industry, and is also a great opportunity to network with contacts, clients and colleagues. The event will be held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London, on 7th December 2016.
The awards highlight best practice and innovation in the design, communication and delivery of employee share plans across a variety of companies, large and small, new and established, listed and unlisted.

The events of the last few days will have far-reaching ramifications for the UK and I am not about to plunge into a shopping-list of concerns – there are plenty of commentators around to do that.
What I will say though is that on our own remit, share plans and employee share ownership, ProShare is committed to keeping our members well-briefed on resultant impacts to share plans – as these become clearer - and continuing to engage in a constructive and positive debate with policymakers and regulators on what can be done to ensure that share plans continue to be a valued force for good in our companies, economy and society.
We have established a focus group specifically to look at the impact of Brexit on share plans and we will channel regular updates from this group to you all as things become clearer. My thanks to those members who have agreed over the weekend to join this group and I wish to extend the invitation to other ProShare members, plan issues, administrators and advisors alike – do get in contact with me should you wish to get involved with this. We will kick off this group’s work with a conference call later this week.
After much thought, our Conference theme remains ‘British success on the global stage’, as it strikes us that this should be an even more crucial focus for us all in coming weeks and months. The terms of achieving that success will undoubtedly change but we remain determined to play a positive role in helping our industry to weather the current uncertainty and emerge fully equipped to make the best of the new environment that we all find ourselves in.
We’ve had a fantastic response to our Call for Speakers and I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to submit such high-quality responses so far. Given that many will have been otherwise engaged this past week particularly with client concerns, we have decided to extend the deadline for submissions to the end of this week, i.e. Friday 1 July.
