We liaise with and lobby HM Revenue and Customs, the Treasury, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other industry bodies to protect, promote and enhance the employee share ownership industry.
The benefits of employee share ownership to employers, employees and the British economy as a whole are substantial.
There is a wealth of UK and international evidence that demonstrates employee share ownership can lead to higher productivity, better financial performance, greater innovation, lower staff turnover and improved employer/employee relations.
Employee share ownership also provides a very useful and tax efficient savings vehicle for millions of British workers.
It is essential that such an important industry has a strong voice.
ifs ProShare has been providing that voice since 1992 when we were established by the Government, a group of FTSE 100 companies and the London Stock Exchange to promote wider share ownership, including employee share ownership. Today it focuses solely on employee share ownership.
Once again, the awards attracted many practitioners and professionals, with more than 400 representatives of companies, advisers and administrators joining the celebrations, hosted by raconteur Gyles Brandreth, at the prestigious Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden.
Commenting on the winning entries, Alan Scott, Head of Employee Share Ownership at ifs ProShare said:
“The past year has seen continued interest and growth in employee share ownership and this is reflected in the record number, and quality, of the entries we have received. Indeed, it was especially pleasing to see entries from new companies in a wide range of businesses, including those from the technology, banking, property and entertainment industries.
We congratulate all those who either won or were shortlisted for an award and celebrate the tremendous achievements of the share plan community as a whole"
